Edutaining global education in Tartu and in Lake Peipsi region in 2018

The overall goal of the project is to support the development of Lake Peipsi region (and Estonia) where young people respect human rights and feed solidarity with poorer regions around the world. And Lake Peipsi region teachers are interested in and are happy to use the active learning methods of the world education in their work. To achieve this, in 2018 a training and co-operation seminar for teachers at regional schools will be organized, four orienteering games on sustainable development in Alatskivi, Mustvee, Räpina and Tartu will be held, students will be offered a social advertising competition and world weeks with lectures, workshops, films, etc will be organised. Articles about the activities and sustainable development issues will be published.


In April 27, 2018, teachers' training seminar on global education methods took place in Alatskivi.

Orienteering games in 2018
29. mai Peipsiääre valla koolide orienteerumine Alatskivil, osalesid 5 kooli ning kokku 50 õpilast.
31. mai Mustvee Kooli orienteerumine - osales kogu kool (sel päeval 80 õpilast).
8. juuni Räpina Ühisgümnaasiumi orienteerumine (osales kogu kool, 238 õpilast).
25. september avatud orienteerumisretk Tartu linnas (50 osalejat - nii õpilasi, üliõpilasi kui täiskasvanuid).

In total 16 works by 57 youngsters were received on very different topics. Best posters were redesigned by professional designer Stella Skulatšjova and published in FB.
