Peipsi Center for Transboundary Cooperation (Peipsi CTC) works since 1994 with regional development and cross border cooperation topics; more specifically in the sphere of  Community development and heritage, Envrionmental awareness and water management, Cross border- and development cooperation. 

Our focus is the transboundary Lake Peipsi region, but we have been working also with numerous EU and Eastern partnership countries. With 30 years of experience, CTC has worked with educational institutions, NGOs, local communities and museums not only in the Estonian-Latvian-Russian border areas, but also in countries such as Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia and various Balkan countries.

We use innovative and interactive methods in informal education and many of our materials are in online format:

We have developed online web quizzes our region cultural and natural heritage, history topics (available in Estonian, Russian, English languages: https://ctc.ee/quizzes an several orientation games

 We have developed several LARPs (Live Action Role Play) game in education and dozens of educational videos on Lake Peipsi biodiversity, climate change, heritage plants, oil shale mining etc.https://ctc.ee/publications/videos..

In developement cooperation field:  We have organised water management and public involvement related projects in the Tajikistan , Moldova-Ukrainian, Kyrgyztan-Kasakhstan, Albania-Macedonian, Armenia-Georgia, etc border regions.  With our Tajikistan, Georgian, Belarus and Modova partners we have implemented  social- and women entrepreneurship projects.

Our goal is to promote environmental and climate awareness, to compile and offer the active learning study programmes for pupils, training programmes for teachers, specialists and enterpreneurs. We're offering 11 different study programmes (incl work sheets). We have established heritage gardens and promoted the topic of biodiversity, food security sustainability and its relation to pollinators

Peipsi CTC is a member of the global network Living Lakes.

Together with regional museums, heritage centers, NGOs we also work to promote cultural an natural heritage of the region, in 2023 Peipsi CTC was awarded for the Peipsimaa Heritage Trail development.
