The EU Journeys project documentaries are ready! Join us for screenings in Viljandi on September 8 and Kasepää on September 10

This CERV funded  project explores how European integration has shaped everyday lives—opening borders, creating opportunities, and connecting people through shared values and history.
Partner organisations from five countries have created films capturing personal stories behind Europe’s unification.
Italy – “Lives Without Borders”: Two individuals share how Erasmus+ and the Schengen Agreement shaped a generation of connected Europeans.
Bulgaria – “Peaks”: Three friends reflect on freedom, resilience, and life after integration.
Greece – “Integration”: Voices from across society retrace Europe’s path from historic treaties to today’s challenges.
Germany – “Studying European”: Students and artists in Bremen explore how knowledge, culture, and creativity transcend borders.
Our Estonian  movie "Journeys Beyond Borders" takes you on five personal memory journeys from the Lake Peipsi region on the EU’s eastern border. It shares inspiring stories: a fisherman and a local food entrepreneur who built their businesses from scratch, women who broadened their horizons through studies and cultural exchanges after the EU borders opened, and a family reclaiming ancestral land and forest lost during the Soviet era. These narratives reveal resilience, opportunity and the transformative power of European integration, especially for small nations.
The proejct is funded by Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV)
