Opening of ALDA project: Bridging Generations in Lake Peipsi region- Empowering communities for biodiversity and heritage
In May we started a new project, aiming to empower multicultural communities in Lake Peipsi area.
Our activuties focus to build ecological awareness and strengthen community resilience by promoting nature-based solutions and knowledge in gardening, sustainable land use, and biodiversity conservation, while fostering intergenerational learning and mutual respect.We will bridge traditional ecological knowledge—such as seed saving, herbal knowledge, and food preservation techniques—with modern sustainability practices through a series of inclusive, community-driven, and hands-on activities.The project is fostering shared learning experiences around biodiversity, heritage, and sustainability.
The first activity will take place in June, 6 - to celebrate World Environment Day with an environmental education walk along the shores of Lake Peipsi.
The project is supported by ALDA, the European Association for Local Democracy, co-dunded by the European Union.
