Focus
It is a well- known fact that the mankind is now facing numerous environmental problems, among which the most important one is the protection of the Earth.
Currently of particular importance is the raising awareness of people on global environmental issues, the formation of a new way of thinking about preserving our planet. The matter of preserving the Earth should become a lifestyle, a way of thinking both for young and old.
In order to support teachers in implementing outdoor environmental education, the AWHHE NGO has created an environmental education manual that aims to help teachers to develop the pupils’ environmental skills, raise their ecological education level, to help them correctly assess their own natural heritage and to realize the necessity of having a healthy and sustainable environment. In addition to informational materials, the manual includes quizzes and games that are aimed at fostering the learners' research ability, logical thinking, and the ability to make an observation and form an opinion.
The copies of this manual, as well as the copies of a table game are to be distributed among all teachers during the seminar.
The seminar is funded by the Estonian Development Cooperation Program.
